A Woman's Right to Shoes.

I'll bet u've heard that one b4 huh? If ur a SATC fan, then u know what that means - it’s the one where Carrie’s Manolo Blahnik’s are stolen at a baby shower, and she’s forced to spend the rest of the episode trying to justify her choice to spend her money on designer shoes, rather than on something “important”.

Right. Shoes are very very important to us. It had became a part of our lives and it is an essential thing to us. But if it's that important, how important? Is it a need? Want? Or rather an obsession? Most people want everything in life. Especially woman. Materialistic things tend to became ahead of us over time. I admit, I'm one of those. When people say, material things doesnt bother them, I'll say.. who are r u trying to kid? Let's face it. Deep down, we all want the same. I'm done being a hypocrite as I tend to want things. Things that I couldn't have and even afford to have. U always hear people say, I don't need money if I have love, happiness etc2. Blah, blah. Really now, the fact is, plain n simple, money enables people to buy many things; unfortunately, it can't buy happiness, love or a lasting relationship. But surprisingly, money turns out to be the leading cause of today's divorces. Okay out of topic. Haha. But what I'm trying to say is, people are materialistic whether they want to admit it or not. Let's take for an example, u saw this gorgeous awesome LBD (Lil' Black Dress) - very sexy indeed, on a window display in a shopping mall, can u tell me straight to my face that there's not even a tiny lil' bit of "I WANT" in that deep down inside heart of urs? Like I said, who r u trying to kid? Yes, of course, u don't NEED it. But don't u WANT it?

Haha. Pathetic huh? Well, at least, I admit it, right? No point in trying to lie to myself n be in denial for the rest of my life. Life; now's that a major constant headache. We might not have the best of life compare to others. Life disappoints us, cheat us, tear us apart until at one point there's nothing left of u etc. But if life doesnt do that to u, it wudnt be call life, right? Life is not about where ur destination is, it's about how u get there. Another familiar quote. Heh :p But it's true. I saw in people's FB, everyday whining & complaining, swearing to the world how their life's suck and all. But if that's how it is, then r u going to stay there for the rest of ur life, complaining & whining??? Let me share u this vid. It's really inspiring. Most of u might have watch this, but I watch this everyday b4 starting my day just to tell to myself that everything is goin to be alrite. Well, besides prayers, a lil motivation is good :))

Okay, back to the topic. I have a major obsession that I have been fighting with for years. I love shoes. I'm obsessed about it. I may not have the legs or the body for it, but I just simply love 'em. And each day, as I'm trying to battle myself with my constant weight problem, I just simply pour it down to shoes. Everyday, I console myself and telling myself "Hun, u gotta lose that excess weight or else, u won't do justice to ur shoes" and that's what keeps me goin to my weight loss. Even at times or rather most of the times it doesnt work BUT I will still have my shoes AND my excess weight. LOL. When I had a really2 bad day, all I have to do is head to the mall n grab a pair or two to make me feel a bit better. But if at that time, money's an issue, I'll just head down to the mall and TRY a pair or two. Sometimes, u don't have to buy' em u just need to feel 'em. And see 'em how it fits perfectly to ur gorgeous or rather (like mine) ugly big feet. But that don't matter, just as long as it fits, then the world will smile to you again. Sigh. A simple shoe may not solve ur problem, but it can definitely make u feel a bit better. BUUUT, this method may suit me, don't knw bout u girls. Eating may also make u feel better just like shoes, I used to do that, but look what it did to me, I'm "PHAT" Haha. Yes. as in fat. But i prefer to use phat cuz with all these excess baggage n all I still wana look "Phatabulous" which is - Pretty-Hot-And-Tempting plus Fabulous. Hah. I knw, tend be vain sometimes. But if u're in my world, u need to boost ur own confidence cuz no one will help and look at u if ur not confident with ur own self. Sorry babes, but that's the fact. And despite all that, I'm still vain. It's good for ur health. Y'all shud try it.

The choices of a pair of heels depends on individual. Some people rather choose a comfy pair or unfashionable flat pairs as they say that high heels will "kill their feet" or they might have backbones problems l8r in life. But some say it's worth it as they will stand out more. While some just go for the fashion, or maybe the brand, some are just uninterested or couldn't care less.

I see life like a pair of shoes. Some days, life brings u joy & happiness. So does a pair of shoes. U'll feel happy, confident when u use ur best pair n people compliments how gorgeous they are. But sometime, when ur in a hurry let's say, for an interview, an important job interview that ur excited about n confident that ur goin to nailed it, ur wearing ur best pair of heels and when ur almost reach at the place, suddenly just like dat, the heels snaps into two. U trip over and smashed to a dumpster. That is life and that's what a simple pair of heel can do to u. It brings u happiness n it brings u sadness. Shoe's colour resembles the colour of life. A shoe brand reflect ur status in life. If u can afford a pair of Jimmy Choo's, then u can afford a higher standard of living. U may be wearing a 10-20 dollar pairs of shoes, but dat doesnt mean ur arent allowed to be fashionable. U can find the most beautiful pairs of shoes at 15 dollar so it's not a crime to wear cheap inexpensive shoes. The kinds of shoes u wear may defind on how u live ur life. Stilettos might means ur daring to live life. A pair of flat means ur prefer a comfy life. U may not wearing or may not afford a branded pair of shoes, but who knw's, the shoes u wear arent always predictable n are in constant change. Just like how life is.

So, what's a woman's right to shoes?

For women, the life we go thru' a bit more challenging. Which is y shoes are a bit more special to us because we will be juggling 3 careers at one time at some point of time. That is, a career woman & a wife & not forgetting, a mother. Which at the moment, I'm just living 1 career. Heh :p Which is also y, women have a right on getting special shoes. We need shoes to live life - that may sound like a materialistic bitch but so what. We can never have too many shoes. U need the-too-many-shoes. Just the same as life. Because we are worthy of it & we deserve it. Each of us deserve it. U knw, like the lil' things that spice things up. Example, happiness & sadness compliments life, just like pedicures compliments shoes.

So, how do u justify the way ur living ur life is the same as how u justify spending ur money on a Manolo Blahnik's shoes. And in my opinion, other people don't have the right to criticize on how u live ur life because it's not theirs. I don't tend to judge people on how they live theirs, so y should you? That goes the same as spending a U$500 (which is nearly Rm20k) shoe. It's ur money & ur shoe, right? So, buy more shoes & live life joyfully - just take a whack at it!

ps: I seriously hope people will understand the metaphor i used in this entry. LOL

This is my longest entry I have ever written. Reason being, I seldom blog these days, so, here's to my longest rant ever. Well, honestly, I just wana make it up to this blog. LOL. Oh well, Cheers. Have a great Monday y'all!
